Abstract
Previous studies have documented the importance of Merrimack River flow to the hydrography and circulation of Massachusetts Bay. In assessing the sources and loadings of pollutants to Massachusetts Bay, Menzie-Cura & Associates, Inc., found little data on typical concentrations of organic pollutants discharged to Massachusetts Bay from rivers, wastewater treatment plants, urban runoff, and other sources.
