Abstract |
The 1978 Federal Emissions Regulations require the use of a vehicle enclosure (SHED) for the determination of evaporative emissions. An allowable air temperature range inside the enclosure has been specified due to the effects of ambient temperature on evaporative emission levels. The purpose of this test is to develop a cooling system which would meet the Federal evaporative emission test temperature requirements. Two sizes of enclosures were used and two cooling systems were designed. Information obtained is presented. |
