Abstract | Evaluation of hazardous waste incinerators for Resource Conservation and Recovery Act permits is a difficult and sometimes costly task. The Environmental Protection Agency is evaluating, in its research program, several chemical compounds which may be used to monitor incinerator destruction and removal efficiency and combustion conditions more effectively. The paper discusses the research aimed at developing reliable and cost-effective methods for trial burns, and permit compliance monitoring. |
