An assessment was made of several operations at the Philadelphia Naval Shipyard (PNSY), a federal facility which specializes in revitalizing and repairing ships already in fleet. A wide range of industrial processes are done at the PNSY, and many of them generate wastes. The project focused on the processes and wastes of operations related to aluminum cleaning, spray painting, and bilge cleaning.
