Abstract | Under SARA Title III, Section 313, manufacturers (SIC Codes 2000-3999) that have greater than 10 employees and use listed toxic chemicals (currently, the list covers 302 chemicals and 20 chemical categories) above threshold quantities are required to complete Form R annually by July 1. Form R contains information about the release of the chemical to all environmental media as well as transfers of the chemical off site. The article will help you to understand the reporting requirements under Section 313 and how to properly fill out Form R. In addition, an industry perspective on how to estimate release is included. |
