The Menomonee River Watershed is described in order to establish a factual base upon which to draw conclusions concerning the interactions of the ecosystem and the impact of water quality. The description includes natural and cultural features such as population, land use, climate, physiography and geology, soils and water storage areas. Also included in the description are the characteristics and management practices existing in the drainage areas of the mainstream and predominantly single land use monitoring sites.
