Abstract
Inhalation exposure of rats for 4 hours to a vapor and aerosol atmosphere of FM 100 Residue, at a calculated concentration of 22.9 mg/l, resulted in dyspnea, salivation, lacrimation, nasal discharge, eye squint and body weight loss. One female rat died on day 3 of the post exposure period. Necropsy of the dead female rat revealed dried blood around the nares, patchy red areas on the lungs, and an air distended stomach filled with yellow liquid. The remaining 9 rats recovered by day 14 of the post exposure period.
