Abstract
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) conducts the major Federal water pollution control research program. Because of the large amount of funds appropriated, the General Accounting Office (GAO) examined into EPA's administration of its demonstration grant program and its research grants and contracts, utilization of its laboratory facilities, and management of its research equipment.
