Abstract |
The audit was prepared by the Alaska Health Project's Waste Reduction Assistance Program (WRAP) under contract to the State of Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC), with additional support from the Charles Stewart MOTT Foundation. The intent of the DEC contract is to foster waste reduction by conducting audits and workshops at various locations throughout the state. The report is the result of an audit of a small newspaper company. The purpose of the report is to: Identify the wastes produced in this facility and the processes by whih they are generated; Recommend methods of waste reduction for this facility; Document existing waste reduction measures; Provide an example to other facilities of how to conduct a waste reduction audit. |
