Abstract | People's opinions about the environment and their attitudes toward the fight against pollution are studied. The study attempts to answer questions about the perception of the environment and its quality, the concern about pollution, the willingness to pay for a better environment and the attitudes toward enforcement. Relationships between opinions, attitudes and demographic factors are examined in a way designed to gain a better understanding of the complexities of public opinion and attitudes. The data was gathered through 3,012 personal interviews with a representative sample of adults, 18 years of age and older, who reside in the continental United States. |
