Abstract
As a result of the high level of interest in innovative hazardous waste control technologies, U.S. EPA's Office of Solid Waste and Emergency Response and Risk Reduction Engineering Laboratory jointly conducted this conference. The conference consisted of presentations of technical papers and posters by international and domestic vendors of technologies for the treatment of waste, sludge, and contaminated soils at uncontrolled hazardous waste disposal sites. The purpose of the 2 1/2 day conference was two-fold: to help introduce promising international technologies through technical paper and poster displays; and to showcase results of the U.S. EPA Superfund Innovative Technology Evaluation program technologies in addition to other domestic innovative technologies. Both were aimed at increasing awareness of the user community in technologies ready for application. The compendium does not include all papers that were presented; only those that were made available by authors and their institutions are included.
