| Abstract |
This study evaluated 2 cs polydimethylsiloxane fluid for tissue cell toxicity in a cell culture assay. The test material was used to saturate a sterile 1.3 cm diameter millipore filter pad and the pad placed into each of 2 wells containing a confluent monolayer of human embryonic foreskin cells. Positive and negative controls were placed in separate tissue cell culture wells in the same manner. The samples were incubated for 24 hours and examined microscopically at 10x for cytopathic effect. No cytopathic effect was reported with the test substance. |
