Abstract

The literature is reviewed and summarized with regard to effects to aquatic organisms from acute and chronic exposure to ionizing radiation, with selected endpoints being mortality, pathophysiology, reproduction, development and genetic effects. Methodologies for the study of radiobiological effects are discussed, and recommendations for future research are provided.
