Abstract |
A field investigation in Brown and Spink Counties, South Dakota was conducted. The principal objectives of the study were to: (1) Assess the short-term effects of toxaphene on the ecosystem adjacent to fields being sprayed to control cutworms; and (2) determine the efficacy of using toxaphene to control cutworms in young sunflower plants without becoming an environmental hazard. |
