This report summarizes research performed for the purpose of evaluating Perspective chemically augmented biological treatment (integrated Chemical-Biological Treatment) of MGP soils contaminated with polynuclear aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs). The mechanisms for enhancing biological treatment of soils was the addition of Fountain's reagent. Initial successful laboratory results, summarized in this document, led to a field-scale demonstration of this technology. The construction, operation, and results of the first year of this field-scale program is summarized in this report. |
