Abstract |
Hazardous waste may be stored, treated and disposed in a variety of ways. Treatment technology exists today for detoxification or destruction of wastes in an environmentally acceptable manner through physical, chemical and biological means. The paper identifies hazardous compounds, sampling and analytical methods for measuring these compounds, and procedures that can be used to assure the quality of data obtained. The report should be useful to those who are faced with assessing the extent of hazardous compounds or determining the efficiency of control approaches. |
