Abstract |
The decision document presents the selected remedial action for Operable Unit Two (OU2) at the O-Line Ponds Area, Milan Army Ammunition Plant, Milan, Tennessee. The goal of the overall cleanup activities at the site is to prevent migration of contaminants from soil at the site and to prevent exposures to these contaminants, so that no adverse health effects will result from current or future off-post or on-post use. Soil contaminated with explosives compounds is known to exist in the O-Line Ponds area, and under current conditions, this contamination poses a potential threat to groundwater at the site. Currently contaminated groundwater is being addressed by separate remedial actions under different Operable Units (OUs). |
