Abstract
The report contains the results of a comprehensive comparison study to determine whether freezing of water quality samples is an acceptable method of preservation. Five different treatments (including two freezing treatments) were investigated. Four water samples were analyzed for nine water quality constituents. The report is the statistical analysis and graphical presentation of these data. Except for silica, freezing had no practical effect on the concentration levels measured in the laboratory. Therefore, it is suggested that, excluding silica, the difference is not a significant one.
