Abstract
The purpose was to develop solid-liquid separation techniques so that surface waters can be used to effectively recharge a ground water aquifer. Specifically, the research effort centered around the development of an efficient, low pressure drop 2 GPM hydrocyclone, the determination of the appropriate chemical treatment for clay-laden water when hydrocyclones are used, and infiltration studies with a laboratory aquifer.
