Abstract | Purpose of this article is to show that erroneous conclusions may be reached from studies or routine tests with organic chemicals at the levels often employed for predicting chemical fate in nature. These errors in extrapolation from high to low concentration may occur in routine evaluations of biodegradation, careful assessments of kinetics, or the establishment of products formed in water, soil or sediments. |
