Contents Notes | EPA Region VIII initiated an ambient air quality monitoring network in 1974 to gather baseline data in rural areas of North Dakota, South Dakota, Wyoming, and Montana expected to be impacted by energy resource development. The network was expanded in 1975 to cover energy areas in Utah and Colorado, as well as to increase the coverage in the Northern Great Plains. |
