| Abstract |
The following is the Environmental Protection Agencys (EPA) Response to Comments document for the EPA and National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) Joint Rulemaking: 2017 and Later Model Year Light-Duty Vehicle Greenhouse Gas Emission Standards and Corporate Average Fuel Economy Standards. The following document contains verbatim excerpts of the commenters text followed by EPAs responses. Citizen comments that raised unique substantive issues are included. In addition, nearly 300,000 citizens provided comments in support of the program and about 400 people provided testimony at three public hearings held for the rulemaking; these comments are not listed or summarized individually, but rather examples are provided. |
