Abstract
A benthic survey was conducted to determine possible effects on Flat Creek and the Salt River of whey and raw sewage discharged from the Star Valley Dairy. The effluent of whey and sewage from the dairy and associated restaurant is discharged directly into Flat Creek. Approximately two miles downstream from the effluent discharge, Flat Creek flows into the Salt River.
