Abstract
Elevated temperature acid-cracking combined with pilot activated sludge and solids. The chemical/physical system consisted of a hot acid-cracking process to reduce the grease content in the influent to the biological system. The biological system consisted of a pilot extended aeration activated sludge unit with clarification and retention in a pilot facultative lagoon (53 days' retention). Cost estimates and sludge disposal are also discussed. (Modified author abstract)
