Abstract
This guidance is an effort to assist grantees in claims management, to assist reviewing agencies in making appropriate allowability determinations and to distinguish between proper and improper management practices in specific situations. The guidance discusses many of the common causes of claims, recommends claim prevention and resolution techniques, and outlines applicable criteria to be used in claim related allowability determinations.
