Abstract
The short-term effects of radiatively participating pollutants upon the thermal structure and dispersion in an urban atmosphere were studied by constructing one-and two-dimensional transport models for the planetary boundary layer. Special attention was focused on the interaction of solar and thermal radiation with gaseous and particulate pollutants as well as natural atmospheric constituents.
