Abstract
This Instructor Manual, together with the referenced Student Manual is designed for use by instructors who wish to teach a short-term education/training course on the process of troubleshooting operation and maintenance problems in wastewater treatment plants. These materials are geared toward procedures for identifying and isolating a problem, formulating alternative actions and solutions, and combining corrective action with short and long-range followup. The materials will assist state, local and Federal employees of wastewater facilities in assuming and administering their responsibilities and preparing for operation and maintenance inspections. Some topics included are activated sludge, flow measurement, lab procedures, chlorine and solids handling.
