Abstract |
The purpose of this paper is to present the current state of knowledge about the role of forest in the global C cycle and thus their influence on climate change. The paper focuses on the magnitude of the present C pools and flux (sources and sinks) for the world's forests, and the potential role of forest lands to mitigate CO2 emissions through management. |
