Abstract
This notice announces revisions to the effectiveness standards applicable to child-resistant packaging (CRP). FIFRA 25(c)(3) requires EPA's CRP standards to be consistent with those established under the Poison Prevention Packaging Act of 1970 (PPPA). In order to comply with CRP standards, a package must resist entry by most young children and must not be difficult for most adults to open and properly resecure, within a specified time period in testing.
