Abstract | Marine Corps Base (MCB) Camp Pendleton, California, is located between San Diego and Los Angeles. The purpose of this ROD is to set forth the remedial action for Site 9 groundwater, which is contaminated with the volatile organic compounds (VOCs) trichloroethene (TCE) and tetrachloroethene (PCE). In addition, this ROD sets forth the basis for the no remedial action decision for soil at Sites 9, 4, 4A, and 24 and for groundwater beneath Site 24. Soil at Sites 4, 4A and 9 and soil and groundwater at Site 24 were determined to be in a protective state; that is, the media at these sites pose no current or potential threat to human health or the environment. |
