Abstract | The paper discusses a study designed to demonstrate the effectiveness and cost of the soil cultivation process for disposal of oily waste from petroleum. Three oily materials were used in parallel experiments at prevailing climatic conditions. Results of semi-monthly oil determinations for each plot are given. Predominant microbial species in each soil test plot are reported on a monthly basis. Photographs show preparation of soil test plots, spreading of oil on the soil, and cultivation. Data are tabulated and shown graphically. |
