Abstract
The manual describes the types of records that should be maintained for major particulate matter control systems - multicyclones, fabric filters wet (venturi) scrubbers, and electrostatic precipitators. Records of operating parameters and maintenance activity should be part of any preventive maintenance program. Operating records can also be used to diagnose changes in equipment performance affecting the compliance status of a source. The basic elements of a recordkeeping program discussed in the manual include: control equipment/process operating records, inspection checklist, inspection schedules, inspection reports, and equipment maintenance records. Items to be recorded and tracked for each type of control equipment are listed.
