Abstract |
A symposium on 'Measuring and Interpreting VOCs in Soil - State of the Art and Research Needs' was held in Las Vegas, Nevada on January 12-14, 1993. The purpose of the document is to summarize the key issues discussed and conclusions reached at the Symposium. The measurement and interpretation of soil VOCs are described herein in a comprehensive manner with due focus on whether the data being collected and reported are sufficient to meet the needs of the data user. As far as possible, controversy and consensus regarding the state-of-practice and -knoweldge have been highlighted in this summary. Current research needs are also outlined. |
