Abstract | This is a colorimetric method applicable to the determination of selected pesticides in municipal and industrial discharges as provided under 40CFR 136.1. A sample is digested with acid to yield carbon disulfide by hydrolysis of dithiocarbamates. The evolved CS2 is trapped in a color reagent and absorbance is measured at 380 and 435 nm. The compounds included in the method scope are: amobam, Busan 40, Busan 85, ferbam, KN methyl, mancozeb, maneb, metham, nabam, niacide, polyram, sodium dimethyldithiocarbamate, thiram, zineb, and ziram. |
