| Abstract |
The littoral enclosures research design and protocol were designed to use in developing a field test guidance document to use in the pesticide registration process. With its use, the primary and secondary (ecological) effects of pesticides on the structure and function of lentic ecosystems can be estimated as well as the persistence and fate of pesticides in these environments. In 1986 a study was conducted using chlorpyrifos and in 1989 a study using esfenvalerate was completed. The paper describes the esfenvalerate experiment. |
