Abstract |
Bridgelip sucker (Catastomus colubianus) and steelhead trout (Salmo gairdneri) were screened with 964 toxicants; threespine stickleback (Gasterosteus aculeatus), sockeye salmon (Oncorhynchus nerka), and steelhead were screened with 2,014 toxicants. Two salmonids were tested together for each chemical either with two suckers or two sticklebacks in 24-h static bioassays. The times at which the fish lost equilibrium and died are noted. A review is provided on additional sources of fish toxicity screening tests and how these data have been used in the development of quantitative structure-activity relationships. |
