Abstract
The document presents a status report and workplan rationale for the operation of the Interagency Workgroup on Air Quality Modeling (IWAQM). The workgroup was formed to provide a focus for development of technically sound regional air quality models for regulatory assessments of pollutant source impacts on Federal class I areas. The paper was published in an effort to inform the sponsoring Agencies and other interested parties out IWAQM activities.
