Abstract |
The objective of the Round 1 arsenic demonstration program is to conduct 12 full-scale arsenic treatment technology demonstration studies on the removal of arsenic from drinking water supplies. The specific objectives were to: - Evaluate the performance of the arsenic removal technologies for use on small systems. - Determine the simplicity of required system operation and maintenance (O&M) and operator's skill levels. - Determine the cost-effectiveness of the technologies. - Characterize process residuals produced by the technologies. This report summarizes the results gathered during the first six months of the AdEdge system operation from June 24 through December 24, 2004. The types of data collected included system operational data, water quality data (both across the treatment train and in the distribution system), residuals characterization data, and capital and preliminary O&M cost data. |
