Abstract |
This study examines the removal of organic matter from Mississippi River water by coagulation and softening processes and identifies the influence of operating parameters upon the removal process. Furthermore, since activated carbon is typically employed to reduce organic concentrations, the effectiveness of vaious pretreatments were evaluated for their impact upon carbon bed life and the product water quality. |
