NIH/EPA Centers of Excellence on Environmental Health Disparities Research
EPA awarded grants to create research centers at five universities to conduct environmental health disparities research. These centers will conduct multidisciplinary research to mitigate and prevent health disparities driven by environmental causes focused on understanding the relationships between biological, chemical, environmental, genetic and epigenetic, and social factors. These centers are jointly funded by EPA, the National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities (NIMHD) and the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS).
