Objective:
The objectives of this research are to:
- Develop and present state-level environmental health outcome indicators that measure changes over time; and
- Apply environmental health outcome indicators to evaluate the impact of environmental policies on population exposures and health risks.
Progress Summary:
Investigators requested a 1-year no-cost extension to develop manuscripts based on the policy timeline and indicators case studies. Comments received at the grantees’ meeting held in September 2011 are being incorporated into the project findings. Case studies have been completed for PCBs and mercury in fish. No additional data on TCE in public water supplies were located, so the TCE case study was not pursued further.
Future Activities:
Effort will be focused on submission of manuscripts to peer-reviewed journals.
