Objective:
Develop modular, open-source software dashboard for campus-wide composting program.
Summary/Accomplishments (Outputs/Outcomes):
The prototype of the dashboard application has been designed and implemented. It will be used by faculty, students in campus-wide composting program.
Conclusions:
In this project, we have designed and developed a novel dashboard software application to support campus-wide composting program. The dashboard builds upon the open-source Eclipse RCP technology and provides data entry, history data analysis and online visualization to enable efficient management and analysis of composting data information. It is also an informative tool to educate the campus community and general public on the impact and importance of the composting program for environmental sustainability.
