Description:
MCP Urethanes propose to synthesize a filter capable of removing low levels of hazardous metal ions such as mercury, lead, and zinc from industrial waste streams. The filter will function by adsorption and chelation and be selective for the hazardous metal ions over the alkali and alkaline earth metal salts. The filter will insert directly into the industrial sewer. When fully loaded, the filter will either be recycled or disposed.Supplemental Keywords:
