Objective:
Create a transferable study based on sound science for a legally defensible approach of sustainable water resource management programs that protect the environment while balancing growth and development through cooperative local and regional communities.
Approach:
Phase I
Technical: Determine effects of; 1) withdrawals and recharge on baseflow; 2) land use change on recharge; 3) flow regimes on wild trout habitat.
Planning: 1) Establish watershed community partnerships; 2. Identify existing/future water use; 3) Transitioning from technical to planning phases; 4) Begin watershed community education and outreach efforts.
Expected Results:
1) Watershed community driven program for water resource management based on sound science; 2) Transferable technology and planning processes for sustainable resource planning.
