Climate Change 101:

What Is Causing Climate Change?

The global carbon cycle involves billions of tons of carbon in the form of CO2. Carbon dioxide is absorbed by oceans and living biomass and is emitted to the atmosphere annually through natural processes. When in equilibrium, carbon movement among these various reservoirs is roughly balanced.
