EPA announced the release of the draft document, ORD Staff Handbook for Developing Integrated Risk Information System (IRIS) Assessments, or IRIS Handbook.

EPA announced the release of the IRIS Program Outlook Update on the IRIS website which includes updates to the list of IRIS Assessments that are currently in development.

EPA announced the release of the draft document, IRIS Assessment Plan (IAP) for Oral Exposure to Vanadium and Compounds (Scoping and Problem Formulation Materials), for a 30-day public comment review. The deadline for comments was August 24, 2020. [Federal Register Notice Jul 24, 2020]

EPA is announcing an independent peer review on the draft documents, Physiologically Based Pharmacokinetic (PBPK) Modeling for Chloroprene (Ramboll, 2020) and Supplement: Uncertainty Analysis of In Vitro Metabolic Parameters and of In Vivo Extrapolation (IVIVE) Used in a Physiologically Based Pharmacokinetic (PBPK) Model for Chloroprene (U.S. EPA, 2020). It will be conducted by Versar, an EPA contractor for the external scientific peer review. EPA will also convene a public meeting as a part of this peer review to allow the public an opportunity to provide oral comments to the peer reviewers. EPA announced the release of the draft document, Systematic Review Protocol for the Methylmercury IRIS Assessment (Preliminary Assessment Materials) for a 45-day public comment period as announced in the Federal Register. EPA announced the availability of the Guidelines for Human Exposure Assessment (hereafter "Guidelines"). The Guidelines present the current policies and practices of exposure assessors across the Agency and supersede the 1992 Guidelines for Exposure Assessment Edition.
