Keyword Search Tutorial
The Profile Search Interface contains three controls: 1) the keyword text area, 2) the profile type selection, and 3) the data version selection. Search keywords can be words or phrases and can contain special characters which are discussed below. By selecting VOC or PM from the profile type options, you can change the data set that is searched. Additionally, the data set version can be used to narrow the searched data set. Listed below are keyword search examples. As mentioned before, in addition to basic searches, you may use special characters to modify your search results.
|Gasoline Headspace Vapor||The basic search is one in which the text criteria is a word or phrase. Profile information and associated pollutant data are indexed - try searching for profile names, profile numbers, pollutant names, HAPS, PAMS, and/or pollutant symbols.|
|Gasoline Headspace Vapor -composite||Basic search with string exlusion (i.e. search for Gasoline Headspace Vapor excluding profiles that contain the word composite)|
|Gasoline Headspace Vapor +Grade||Basic search with string inclusion (i.e. search for Gasoline Headspace Vapor that include the word grade)|
|'BP Grade 89'||Exact string search (i.e. return records that contain the exact phrase 'BP Grade 89')|
|87*||Wildcard search (i.e. return records that contain words/profile numbers that start with 87)|
