Description:
Until recently, limited quidance has been available to federal, state and local agencies and to other organizations concerned with the determination of pollutant concentrations in ambient air. As a result, agencies, industry, and the general public have had to develop their own monitoring strategies. To address these needs, EPA’s Office of Research and Development has developed a collection of methods for measurement of inorganic pollutants of interest in ambient air. This compendium contains a set of 17 methods (in 5 categories) presented in a standardized format. A visual guide to the organization of the inorganic compendium is illustrated in figure 1, while Table 1 lists the 17 methods.
