Description:

Three innovative technologies for stabilization of mercury were demonstrated in a treatability study performed on two waste rock materials from the Sulfur Bank Mercury Mine, a Superfund site in northern California. The treatability study was jointly sponsored by two EPA programs: the Mine Waste Technology Program (MWTP) and the Superfund Innovative Technology Evaluation (SITE) Demonstration Program.
