Description:

The Environmental Technology Verification report discusses the technology and performance of the AeroStar "C-Series" Polyester Panel Filter air filter for dust and bioaerosol filtration manufactured by Filtration Group. The pressure drop across the filter was 126 Pa clean and 267 Pa dust loaded. The filtration efficiency when the filter was clean was 27% for Bacillus atrophaeus, 56% for Serratia marcescens, and 57% for bacteriophage MS2. The filtration efficiency when the filter was dust loaded was 67% for Bacillus atrophaeus, 76% for Serratia marcescens, and 87% for bacteriophage MS2. The ASHRAE 52.2 dust filtration efficiency was 12% for particles between 0.3 and 1.0 micrometers, 59% for particles between 1.0 and 3.0 micrometers, and 62% for particles between 3.0 and 10 micrometers. The minimum efficiency reporting value was 7 at 0.93 cubic meters per sec.
